Subic Bay (SBMA)

A former US naval base turned freeport — jungle adventure parks, bay waterfronts, duty-free shopping and family fun.

About Subic Bay (SBMA)

From naval base to adventure freeport

Subic Bay Freeport is one of the Philippines' great reinventions: for nearly a century a US Naval Base, and since 1992 a freeport where jungle-clad hills, a wide sheltered bay, amusement parks, ecotourism trails and duty-free shopping share the old parade grounds. Families come for the Inflatable Island and Zoobic Safari; adventurers come for the Aeta-led forest trails, shipwreck diving and Jet Ski runs across the bay.
